How to Choose Your Compression Gloves

Not all compression gloves are the same. To find the right pair, look at four things: the material, the support, the size and the comfort. Here is our honest guide, written by the FlexMedy team.
1. The material
The fabric decides how the glove feels on your skin, how warm it is and how long it lasts. Here are the most common options:
- Cotton blend: soft and pleasant, but it can lose its shape and hold over time.
- Nylon / spandex: thin and very elastic, with good hold, but it can feel warm and less breathable.
- Copper-infused fabrics: often stretchy nylon blends; the hold comes mainly from the fabric itself.
- Bamboo fibre: very soft, breathable and gentle on sensitive skin. A great choice if you wear your gloves for many hours or at night.

2. The support
A good compression glove gives an even hold over the whole hand, without squeezing too hard in one spot. It should feel snug and supportive, never painful. If your fingers tingle or change colour, the glove is too tight.
For daily wear, choose a moderate, consistent compression: firm enough to feel supported, comfortable enough to forget it.
3. The size
Size is the most important point: a glove that is too big will not support, a glove that is too small will be uncomfortable.
- Measure around your hand, across the knuckles, without the thumb.
- Compare your measurement with the size guide on the product page.
- Between two sizes? Choose the smaller one for more hold, the larger one for more comfort, or ask us for advice.

4. The comfort
- Open fingertips to keep your sense of touch and use your phone.
- Flat, soft seams that do not rub.
- Breathability if you wear them for long hours or in warm weather.
- Easy care: gloves you can wash and wear again and again.

Our choice: FlexMedy Bamboo
We chose bamboo fibre for our gloves because it combines what matters most: a real, even hold and a softness you can wear all day and all night. The open fingertips keep your hands free, and if the size is not right, we exchange it for the right one.
This guide is for general information. Compression gloves are a comfort aid and do not replace medical advice.
